Apple Pie Contest on July 4th

Rules:

• No Entry Fee
• Apple pies only, no crisps or tarts
• Pie filling must be made up of mostly apples
• Any apple pie will be accepted from a standard two crust pie to pies with other ingredients added such as fruits, nuts, cream, etc.
• Contestants must be from 14 years to 114 years old
• No commercial pies, bakery pies, or boxed pies - Homemade only please!
• Ribbons will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Prizes sponsored by Louisburg Cider Mill!
• Pies to arrive in ready-to-eat condition
• Pies to be in wrapped or covered non-returnable pie tins
• Please no names or identification on pie or pie tin

Judging:

• Pies to be checked in at Lewis-Young between 5:30-6:30 p.m.
• Judging to begin at 6:30 p.m.
• Winners to be announced at 8:30 p.m. from stage area
• Pie slices will go on sale after winners have been determined and all proceeds will go towards Friends of the Louisburg Library!
